Agriculture

DMUL is a charity that support multiple indigenous charitable projects including pastor equipping, skills development for girls, radio support for refugees, and spiritual support through ongoing bible and solar radio distribution, all requiring sustainability.

Several areas were considered; agriculture became the focus. Coffee stood out as among the most promising, so a project began on Kkumbya, within Mpigi District, followed by projects in Butambala, Kiti, Degeya (Mawokota) and Kkumbya Estate (Mawokota).

Today, over 20,000 improved version coffee trees have been planted; some in various stages of growth.

Ground water wells and rainwater collection systems with cistern storage were created, and where appropriate, water conserving drip irrigation distributions were installed.

Consistent water ensures stability and production even during dry seasons, thereby ensuring sustainability for DMUL charitable efforts.
